Air Fryer Oatmeal Cookies

Servings: 10-12 cookies

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 8-10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cookie Dough:

    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

    • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

    • Fold in the rolled oats and raisins or chocolate chips if using.

  2. Shape the Cookies:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

    • Scoop the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and flatten slightly. Place them on a parchment-lined air fryer rack or basket, ensuring enough space between each cookie.

  3. Air Fry the Cookies:

    • Air fry the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers will still be soft but will firm up as they cool.

    • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.

Pro Tips:

  • Butter Consistency: Make sure the butter is softened but not melted for the best cookie texture.

  • Add-ins: Feel free to mix in other add-ins like chopped nuts, dried cranberries, or white chocolate chips for extra variety.

  • Don’t Overcrowd: If your air fryer is small, cook the cookies in batches to ensure they have enough space to expand.

  • Cooling Time: Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on a rack—this will help them firm up and achieve the perfect chewy texture.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Classic Pairing: Serve with a cold glass of milk for a classic snack.

  • Ice Cream Sandwich: Make mini ice cream sandwiches by placing a scoop of vanilla ice cream between two cookies.

  • Breakfast Treat: Enjoy these cookies with a cup of coffee as a quick breakfast treat. Air Fryer Oatmeal cookies
