Air Fryer Oatmeal Cookies
Servings: 10-12 cookies
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 8-10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Cookie Dough:
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the rolled oats and raisins or chocolate chips if using.
Shape the Cookies:
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Scoop the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and flatten slightly. Place them on a parchment-lined air fryer rack or basket, ensuring enough space between each cookie.
Air Fry the Cookies:
Air fry the cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers will still be soft but will firm up as they cool.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
Pro Tips:
Butter Consistency: Make sure the butter is softened but not melted for the best cookie texture.
Add-ins: Feel free to mix in other add-ins like chopped nuts, dried cranberries, or white chocolate chips for extra variety.
Don’t Overcrowd: If your air fryer is small, cook the cookies in batches to ensure they have enough space to expand.
Cooling Time: Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on a rack—this will help them firm up and achieve the perfect chewy texture.
