Bite-sized and bursting with flavor, these Smoky Paprika Haddock Bites are the perfect appetizer, snack, or quick meal. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they’re a crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients:
1 lb haddock fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Cooking spray
Lemon wedges, for serving
Optional: Favorite dipping sauce (aioli, tartar, or spicy mayo)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Haddock:
Rinse the haddock fillets, pat them dry with paper towels, and cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 1.5-inch cubes).
2. Set Up the Coating Stations:
Place the flour in one shallow bowl.
In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
In a third bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Coat the Haddock Bites:
Dredge each piece of haddock in flour, shaking off the excess.
Dip into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Roll in the seasoned panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating.
4. Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
5. Cook the Haddock Bites:
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Place the coated haddock bites in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap. Cook in batches if needed.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The bites should be golden brown and crispy on the outside.
6. Serve:
Remove the haddock bites from the air fryer and transfer to a serving platter.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
Pro Tips for Success:
Even Coating: Shake off excess flour and breadcrumbs to prevent clumping.
Crispier Texture: Lightly spray the tops of the bites with cooking spray before air frying.
Batch Cooking: Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure even crisping.

Dipping Sauces: Garlic aioli, sweet chili sauce, or classic tartar sauce.
