Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio preferred)

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-seasoned)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional: Marinara sauce for serving

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Air fryer

  • Large mixing bowl

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Small scoop or spoon (for portioning meatballs)

Preparation Steps:

Mix the Meatball Ingredients:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Mix gently using your hands or a spatula until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.

Form the Meatballs:

  1. Using a small scoop or your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.

  2. Place the formed meatballs on a plate or tray, ensuring they don’t touch.

Air Frying Steps:

  1. Preheat: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for 3–5 minutes.

  2. Load the Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the meatballs in a single layer, leaving space between them. You may need to cook in batches depending on your air fryer size.

  3. Cook the Meatballs: Air fry the meatballs at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking. Meatballs should be browned and have an internal temperature of 165°F when done.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve over spaghetti with marinara sauce for a classic Italian dinner.

  • Use in meatball subs with melted mozzarella and marinara sauce.

  • Serve as an appetizer with toothpicks and a side of marinara for dipping.
